Synopsis
PhD student Su Hee-joo is researching Joseon Dynasty court records when a mysterious bronze mirror pulls her back to 1752. She awakens in the court of King Yeongjo, mistaken for the daughter of a nobleman from Gangwon Province.
Disoriented but resourceful, she navigates the unfamiliar world — until she stumbles upon a secret meeting and comes face-to-face with the imposing Prince Lee An.
Key Scenes
The Bronze Mirror
While examining the mirror in the library, Su Hee-joo notices an inscription on the face: "시간을 품다" (To Hold Time). A flash of gold light follows — and she wakes up in 1752.
Easter Egg: The inscription and the mirror's back-pattern match the jade pendant Prince Lee An wears throughout the series — hinting at a deeper connection across time.
First Encounter
Sneaking through the palace, Su Hee-joo collides with Prince Lee An mid-secret meeting. He pins her to the wall, eyes cold:
"Who are you?"
"I… I'm no one. Please forgive this intrusion."
He notices her strange attire and manner of speaking — but lets her go. For now.
